Charity

                    Proposal for setting up a world charity focused on healing some of the World’s I11s and ending world hunger.

NO MATTER WHAT ONE ACQUIRES IN A LIFETIME, BE IT VAST AMOUNTS OF MONEY, MATERIAL GAINS OR FAME, ONE MUST NEVER FORGET THAT THERE ARE RESOURCES MUCH MORE VALUABLE……….THE PEOPLE. 

This is a proposal to set up the Board of Directors of a global project which will change the entire world as we know it; a project whose time has come and one which has a realistic plan of execution and achievement.

I’m referring to creating a world charity which has the approval, endorsement and assistance of the United Nations, and whose prime objective would be to heal our common ills and ultimately end world hunger.  I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Give a man a fish and He’ll eat for a day, but teach that man to fish and he’ll eat for a life time”.  This would be the principle behind the objective.  In places where there is starvation, a system would be put in place to educate those people and give them the resources to feed themselves, by teaching them how to build and maintain irrigation infrastructures and shelters that grow food. Education would have to be the focus in order to avoid a temporary remedy for the situation.  Easily this may be the most powerful solution for deprivation and homelessness.  This charity could also work with and/or donate to other smaller charities trying to accomplish similar and other goals.

The way the charity would raise funds would be to acquire one million dollars from each of the top Fortune 1000 Companies, instantly this charity would instantly have one billion dollars.  A powerful incentive, aside from being extraordinarily humane with little financial strain, would be the tax write offs these companies could claim. Since the charity would be endorsed by the U.N., the government in each of the countries could assure that these companies got valuable tax breaks and other incentives for their contributions.  Next, have these million dollar contributions matched by each nation and that nations’ billionaires and multimillionaires. Considering the vast numbers of multi-millionaires and billionaires in most countries, this charity would hit the ground running with very little effort.

Spokespersons would be needed who are both reputed for their humanitarian efforts, have high profile and/or visibility in the world, and a knack for causing people to listen. Names that come to mind are people like Oprah Winfrey, Bill Clinton, Queen Elizabeth, Barbara Streisand, Magic Johnson, Bill Cosby, Garth Brooks, Condaleeza Rice, Quincy Jones, Prince Charles, Eddie Murphy, Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jordan, Ted Turner, William Gates, Madonna, Barbara Walters, Stephen Spielberg, Sean Puffy Combs, Tom Cruise, Regis Philbin, Brad Pitt, Will Smith, Jerry Seinfeld, and Celine Dion among others. 

Once we get all of the radio stations, television networks and communication companies around the world onboard and donating air time to simultaneously broadcast an appeal to further this predestined purpose, easily this will become a complete reality.  Especially with all of the magazine publishers around the world doing stories to endorse this one cause.  Once again, the U.N would play a key role as each country offers extra incentives to participants.

Impossible? Hardly.  Not only is it possible, it is time.  We are in the age of the Information Super Highway (Internet) where people are doing incredible things in the world of technology and communications.  Surely if certain ills such as hunger and homelessness are eliminated, the world could only become a better place.  The rich need not fear, for this can make them richer both monetarily and spiritually, which has a profound value unto itself. If people are not hungry, homeless or suffering, it is highly conceivable that they will become more productive.  If one part of a body is affected with a cancer the whole body could eventually die if left untreated. We need each other.

NO MATTER WHAT ONE ACQUIRES IN A LIFETIME, BE IT VAST AMOUNTS OF MONEY, MATERIAL GAINS OR FAME, ONE MUST NEVER FORGET THAT THERE ARE RESOURCES MUCH MORE VALUABLE……….THE PEOPLE.  RELIABLE, KIND, DEDICATED, LOVING, UNITED PEOPLE.  THEY ARE WORTH MUCH MORE THAN ANY FAME OR FORTUNE.  IT IS THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE MONEY; GOD INSPIRED PEOPLE INVENT MATERIAL THINGS AND FAME IS BROUGHT ON BY THE ADMIRATION OF MANY PEOPLE.  SHORT OF GOD (The Universe), WE MUST TRUST, RESPECT AND BELIEVE IN… THE PEOPLE.

There is nothing more Godly than loving all of God’s people everywhere, no matter what their beliefs are.

I need your support in this endeavor of setting up the Board. This Charity could be instrumental in solving many problems in the world today.  What could be more important than that?
