OVER WHELMED

I have listened to music

And felt the power of Rhythm.

At first I sat calmly

But soon my body was moving

Beat by beat I became overwhelmed by the Rhythm.

I have made love

And felt the power of passion

At first I moved slowly

But soon my juices were flowing

Little by little I became overwhelmed by the passion.

I have experienced hatred

And felt the power of anger

At first I tried gentleness

But soon my enemies were attacking

And blow by blow became overwhelmed by the anger.

I have used drugs

And felt the power of euphoria.

At first I used socially

But soon my mind was craving

More and more I became overwhelmed by euphoria.

I know the joy of life

And I feel the inevitable pull of death

At first I was a child

But soon I grew older

Day by day I become overwhelmed by death.
